Eight Michigan Masters registered swimmers competed in the 2010 US Masters sanctioned 10K National Open Water Championship.  The conditions were somewhat different than last year, with the water temperature between 85 and 86 degrees, as opposed to 58 to 60 degrees last year.  All eight swimmers from Michigan Masters finished in the top five places in their page groups.  Jenny Birmelin, Denise Brown, and Frank "Skip" Thompson won their age groups and were declared National Champions.  David Pohlonski finished second, Melissa Kelber, Mark Booth, and Chuck Zeese finished fourth, and Antonio Figueroa Mobel finished fifth in their age groups.
